Location: First Cheltenham Care Ltd, Wentworth Court, Village Road, Cheltenham
Position Available: Apprentice Adult care Worker
Age: 16+
Weekly wage: £3.50 per hour to start with the option to increase on performance and achievement.
Working week: 37.5 hours a week – Shift work, either 8-2, 10-8 or 8-8 over 7 days a week with 2 days off together. Working alternate weekends .
Course: City & Guilds Level 2 Adult Care Worker

About the setting: Cheltenham’s first dementia only Care Provider. Residential and nursing care for people aged 65+. 63 bed home

Vacancy Description:

The succesful candidate will be based within the Care Home, working alongside other health Care Assistants, assisting with the day to day care of residents

Duties include:

  • Assisting the residents with meals
  • Dressing
  • Personal Care
  • Housekeeping
  • Activities
  • Ensuring that the residents remain as independent as possible

This is not a definite description of duties and the post holder may be required to undertake other duties within the scope and spirit of the post to ensure the service can carry out its statutory duties. Full training and support will be given.

Future Prospects: Placement within Wentworth Court and study of H&SC, ending in qualification and leading to a position of health and Social Care Worker at Wentworth Court

• Willingness to learn and be reliable as this is a nursing home and staff are expected to attend for all duty times.

Location: Deanwood Lodge Nursing Home, Maisemore, Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Position Available: Apprentice Care Assistant
Age: 16+
Weekly wage: £5.00 -£5.50 per hour to start with the option to increase on performance and achievement.
Working week: 37.5 hours a week – rota based hours and will involve weekend work and bank holidays so this needs to be considered by the applicant.
Course: City & Guilds Level 2 Adult Care Worker

About the setting: Deanwood Lodge which is part of Casterbridge Homes limited is a stunningly designed and landscaped, Nursing & Residential Care Home for the Elderly with Dementia.
Deanwood lodge is on a local bus route and leaves from the centre of Gloucester every hour and takes just 12 minutes on the bus. The last bus leaves Maisemore at 6.30 pm so your shift will always finish before this time .
The successful candidate will be based within the Care Home, working alongside other Health Care Assistants assisting with day to day care of residents.
